The gorgeous bedroom features Rod’s handmade bedhead and bed, and Sheridan’s pure cotton and washed chambray bed linen. Good reading lights are a plus – heaps of books to enjoy. Plenty of drawer space in the white washed dresser is a nice surprise (beach towels in bottom drawer). Umbrellas, iron and ironing board are tucked away in the built-in wardrobe and, of course, the overhead fan will ensure a very comfortable night’s rest.

The beach house theme is reflected in the bathroom with Sheridan marine towelling, natural Tuscan tiles and timber vanity. Snuggle up in cosy plush bathrobes; enjoy Serendipity toiletries.powerful hairdryer and nice handwash.

kitchen

Check out the whitewashed timber splashback, finished off with Rod’s shelving. Clean and simple, the kitchen is well equipped- includes sandwich press, yogurt maker, picnic hamper, Thermos, and Royal Doulton Pacific mugs and dinnerware.

Lord Howe is proud of our many environmental initiatives, including a highly efficient waste separation and reduction system. We have our own highly efficient food scraps mulching system- meet our old girl Suzy, her best buddy Meeko, and our horde of cheeky chooks!

Kick your shoes off and get comfy on the good sized lounge; enjoy fast wifi (thanks NBN!), TV and bluetooth Sony speaker. Also a landline is there for your convenience – make all your dinner and tour bookings before you head off for the day. A good library, board games and cards for lazy afternoons… Also hiking maps, marine park info, and the complete set of Ian Hutton’s reference handbooks are provided to maximise your island environment experience. The large overhead fan cools off our warmer months – climate is actually pleasantly temperate.

Summer and winter – the wrap around verandah is a welcome retreat with relaxing deck chairs and lounges, sun and shade. Step down to an inviting alfresco dining area; spark up the Weber BBQ and pop a cork or two.

guest laundry

And yes, there’s a guest laundry with frontloader washer and dryer for your convenience. Grab your beach chairs, umbrella and snorkelling gear from here before hitting the beach and on your return rinse off all that salt and sand under the outside shower.
